Wrings Transport are a privately owned, family-run business based in Hallen. Currently, they operate a fleet of more than 50 vehicles, ranging from vans to 44 tonne artics.
Their challenge
As Wrings continued to grow, it quickly became apparent that keeping on top of ever-changing Health & Safety and HR & Employment Law legislation in-house was taking up too much time – time that could’ve been better placed elsewhere.
Breaking barriers
Back in 2001, Wrings removed the time barrier by teaming up with us, and letting us take over the nitty gritty parts of keeping compliant.
For the Health & Safety side of things, one of our expert consultants visited their premises to carry out an in-depth inspection report, pinpoint any gaps in their current systems and identify corrective actions and recommendations.
We tackled their HR & Employment Law elements by sending a highly qualified expert into their business to assess their processes, and issue contracts of employment and employee handbooks bespoke to their business.
As soon as they signed up with us, Wrings were given access to our dedicated, 24/7 Health & Safety and HR & Employment Law advice lines. With this, they knew they were only ever a phone call away from expert advice and a friendly ear.
And it doesn’t stop there either. We set them up on our online management platform – Atlas – so that they could start simplifying anything from risk assessments and accident reporting, to holiday requests and tracking training.
The end result
For the past 15 years, Wrings have been happily saving time, money and stress thanks to our services.
John Cook, Transport Manager at Wrings, commented: “When we partnered with Citation we only had very basic procedures in place with regards to Health & Safety and Employment Law.
“As a business, we’ve grown from employing just 11 staff when we first began working with Citation in 2001, to the present day where we now employ over 65 staff. This growth has been made significantly easier due to having Citation on board.
“The Employment Law advice line is a particularly helpful aspect of the service, assisting us with any issues we might have within recruitment or disciplinaries and grievances, for example.
“We’ve found the service as a whole extremely valuable; I’ve even recommended business contacts and friends in the past who’re now happy clients of Citation too.”
