Discover the new Atlas: 2024’s biggest updates
Atlas is always evolving. So far this year, we’ve released a whole host of updates and new features across the general platform, HR, and Health & Safety. And there’s plenty more to come.
If you haven’t logged into Atlas for a while, you may not have seen some of the changes that have been made – so now’s the perfect time to get a refresh on all the great things it can do.
Everything we add or change in Atlas goes through stages of design, testing, user feedback and early adopter access before being released to everyone. That said, with all the changes going on this year, you might have missed a few things. So, here’s all you need to know about what’s changed, and what’s still to change, in Atlas.
Overall improvements to Atlas
Meet Cipher, your AI Assistant
Cipher is our smart new chatbot assistant. It’s here to help you with your questions and queries about Atlas, like logging in or how to add holidays. Just ask a question and you’ll have the answer straight away. On the rare occasion it doesn’t have the answer you need, you’ll be passed to a member of the support team to carry on the chat.
Dashboards – Coming soon
Very soon we’ll be launching our new and improved dashboards. These now give you individual views for you, your team or the whole company – switch seamlessly between them to see all the information you need in one place.
The tiles have a new design to make better use of the available space. Add, remove and rearrange the tiles to get the best view and information for your role.
Health & Safety improvements*
Risk assessments
We came out of the gates with a bang in January with more intuitive workflows for creating and reviewing risk assessments, making them quicker and easier to complete. If you haven’t already tried it out, head over to the Risk Assessment area now!
Checklists
We’ve added preview, print and download features to checklists, and they can now be completed on an ad-hoc basis as well as when scheduled. Check them out here.
Method statements
You can now attach associated risk assessment documents to method statements to produce a single RAMS document that’s easy to read, share, and print when needed. Take a look here.
Site visit reports – Coming soon
Because our Health & Safety site visits sit at the heart of our Health & Safety service, we’re working on a dedicated new area to make it quicker and easier for you to complete your recommended actions off the back of a visit. You’ll also be able to download your full inspection report and see a breakdown of the tasks by category, showing the business areas with the most action needed.
You’ll soon also see recommended content for each action, taking you straight to resources, tools and training to help you close off outstanding tasks.
HR improvements**
Time off area
Holiday and absence management has had an overhaul this year, with the easy-to-use Time Off area. Now it’s clearer to see the number of days taken, remaining and approved – whether it’s your holiday or your team’s.
You can quickly switch between a list or calendar view of the absences for you and your team, making it easy to find and check the days off for yourself, or to approve and add holidays and absences for others. Check it out here.
Employee records – Coming soon
See a more holistic view of your employees and all information relating to them in the platform, including documents, training, incidents, and contracts. Their record will be the only place you need to go to access all relevant data.
HR Companion app – Coming soon
And finally, we’re delighted to let you know that we’re making great progress on developing our HR Companion app – an app for employees to help them book and manage holidays and absences, and view and acknowledge key documents. Wherever they are, they’ll be able to quickly and easily tick off key actions.
Soon after this, they’ll also be able to complete e-learning on the go, so you can rest assured your business is compliant.
