Citation crowned Professional Services Firm of the year

Wilmslow-based Citation has won the prestigious ‘Professional Services Firm of the Year’ award at the North West Business Masters 2016.

The awards, which celebrate excellence in all aspects of business life as well as enterprise and entrepreneurship, are well established in the North West. Recognising and rewarding innovative and successful businesses, the awards highlight the outstanding business community in the region.

With 30 companies shortlisted this year, Citation was one of just 12 businesses to receive an award, presented by BBC presenter Dan Walker and TheBusinessDesk’s Commercial Director, Lee J Walker.

In the Professional Services category, Citation beat off stiff competition from Gorilla Accounting, Hillyer McKeown and JMW Solicitors.

On receiving the award, Les Blacker, Client Services Director at Citation, said: “This is dedicated to the 384 people who work tirelessly every day to deliver for our customers. We try to take a lot of pain out of small businesses, growing businesses so they can get on with doing their day to day jobs by helping with their health and safety needs as well as understanding some of the human resources issues which occur.

We’re really proud that our team is probably three or four times the size it was three years ago and we fully expect that to be similar over the next couple of years.”
