The new National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates come into force in April and will apply from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2021.

It’s important to note that from 1 April, the NLW rate will apply to those who are 23 or over (previously it only applied to those who were 25 or over). The threshold is set to reduce further to 21 by 2024.
